Meta Quest Plus is Meta's newly launched subscription service for virtual reality games, available since July for Quest 2 and Quest Pro users, and coming soon to Quest 3.
With a monthly or annual subscription to Meta Quest+, users gain access to two Meta-selected VR apps each month. These apps can be redeemed during the month in which they are available and will remain accessible in the App Library for the duration of the subscription.
The monthly subscription fee is $8, but if you opt for annual payment, the cost drops to $60, a 37% savings compared to the monthly fee.
Requirements to subscribe to Meta Quest Plus:
- You must be 17 or older if you're in the United States, Mexico, or Canada, and 18 or older for anywhere else in the world.
- You can subscribe from your own headset, from the Meta Quest mobile app, or from the web.
- You have the option to redeem an app, which will be available to download and install in your App Library for the duration of your subscription.
- Currently, app subscriptions can only be used by the person who purchased them and cannot be sent as gifts. You also cannot use any promotions or store credit to purchase subscriptions.

- You must be 17 or older if you are located in the United States, Mexico, or Canada, or 18 or older anywhere else in the world.
- You can subscribe from your own glasses, through the Meta Quest mobile app, or from the web.
- You have the option to redeem an app, which will be available for download and installation in your App Library for the duration of your subscription.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. However, Meta warns that if you cancel your subscription, you will lose access to all previously redeemed titles and will not be able to redeem new ones. However, if you resubscribe, you will be able to access all previously redeemed titles and any currently available titles.
- At this time, app subscriptions can only be used by the original purchaser and cannot be gifted. Promotions and store credits cannot be used to purchase subscriptions.
How does the Meta Quest Plus subscription process work?
- Find the app you want to purchase or download in the Meta Quest store and click the price to buy it.
- If you're not eligible for the purchase due to your age, you'll receive a message warning you that you can't make the purchase without authorization. In this case, you have the option to send a request to your representative to grant you permission to use the app.
- If your representative approves it, you'll receive a confirmation at the top of the screen and a notification that will allow you to purchase or download the app.
