Nuevos Lentes de Realidad Virtual en 2023

2023 has started with a bang! This is a year that promises major advancements in the world of VR, with new players like the expected Apple glasses. That's why below you'll learn about three of the new virtual reality glasses expected to arrive in the coming months.

Oculus Quest 3 by Meta

Rumors say the ‌Oculus Quest 3‌ will bring a major graphics upgrade, allowing virtual worlds to be presented with greater detail and realism.

Additionally, Quest 3 will be equipped with other features, such as pancake lenses and a new depth sensor, to provide an even better VR experience.

As their name suggests, pancake lenses are thinner and lighter. Therefore, they are more comfortable to wear when playing for extended periods. They will also be lighter due to the reduction in the size of the visor.

According to IDC, in the first quarter of 2022, Meta held 90 percent of the market share for these new VR headsets in 2023. The tech giant is expected to continue its dominance in the VR headset market in 2023 with its next-generation headset Oculus Quest 3.

Apple Mixed Reality Headset

Apple is rumored to launch its first VR headset in 2023. The Apple VR headset will be the company's first foray into VR and augmented reality (AR).

The headset is likely to carry a hefty price tag of $2,000 to $3,000, packing a Mac-grade M2 chip and more than ten cameras inside and out.

Plus, it will have the highest resolution display of any VR headset on the market.

The official name of the operating system powering Apple's new device is "xrOS," an operating system designed specifically for its extended reality (XR) headset that can offer mixed reality capabilities like VR and AR experiences.

While the former places users in a completely immersive virtual world, the latter superimposes virtual information onto the real world.

Sony PlayStation VR2

Sony's upcoming PlayStation VR (PSVR) 2 virtual reality headset will be one of the New VR Headsets in 2023, and offers a significant improvement over the PSVR released in 2016.

Designed exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console, the headset will feature a higher-resolution display, improved tracking technology, and enhanced audio capabilities.

For gamers, the headset will offer an advanced gaming experience with headphone-based controller tracking and high-resolution 4000×2040 High Dynamic Range (HDR) video format (2000×2040 per eye).

Compared to the PSVR, the PSVR 2 has four times more pixels, allowing images in the headset to look sharper and more vivid.

These new VR headsets in 2023 also feature several sensory features, such as eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D audio, and the PSVR 2 Sense controller, to provide a more immersive experience.
