Xiaomi 14
The Xiaomi 14 emerges as a powerful high-end option. With a 6.36-inch LTPO display and 1.5K resolution, it offers an exceptional visual experience with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, standing out as the first phone to incorporate TCL's S8 CSOT panel.
Its design reminds us of the iPhone 14 Pro , due to its elegant camera module and slim bezels. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, guaranteeing high performance backed by a 4,610mAh battery, 90W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of photography, its triple camera, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor and collaboration with Leica, promises impressive captures.
Xiaomi 14 Pro
The Xiaomi 14 Pro elevates the experience even further, meeting the expectations of Xiaomi users. Powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, its 6.67-inch LTPO display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness offers a larger display.
The glass and metal design reflects elegance and functionality, housing a vapor chamber to maintain optimal performance. Highlighting its uniqueness is the variable aperture of its main camera, from f/1.4 to f/4.0, providing creative flexibility.
This model features HyperOS, Xiaomi's new operating system, with storage options of up to 1TB.
Both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro are now official in China, so they're a taste of what's expected in other markets in 2024.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R
Xiaomi is looking to consolidate its dominance in the mid-range market with the launch of the Redmi Note 13R Pro in China. Featuring a refined design and a 120Hz OLED display on a 6.67-inch panel, the device offers an immersive visual experience.
This Xiaomi smartphone model is powered by the powerful Dimensity 6080, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with solid performance. The 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging promises durability. In terms of photography, the 108-megapixel rear camera stands out.
Its exclusive launch in China in 2023 raises expectations of its possible arrival in other markets by 2024.
Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro
Xiaomi's Poco X6 Pro is positioned as a standout mid-range option with a competitive price tag of $259 / €280 / INR 21,199.
Its attractive green, white and black design is complemented by a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels and a high refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Equipped with MediaTek's powerful Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor and a 5500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, the performance is solid, excelling in gaming and video editing.
The 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup offers versatility, although the lack of water resistance and a 3.5mm headphone jack are drawbacks to consider.
Xiaomi Redmi K70
Xiaomi has teased the upcoming Redmi K70 series in China, revealing details through leaked renders of the base model.
In this case, the Redmi K70 comes in white with a distinctive design: a camera island that spans the entire width of the phone, housing four elements in a square, including three cameras and an LED flash. The island physically protrudes from the back, giving it a similar appearance to the Poco series.
While not much information is available about the device, there is speculation that the Redmi K70 could be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, based on a benchmark result of the Pro model, and could possibly be launched as the Poco F6 in its global version.
So the 2024 Xiaomi cell phones promise to come loaded with the high technology we've already witnessed.
